The farm has conducted free trainings to youth and women smallholder farmers on the adoption of hybrid seeds, fertilizer, post-harvest handling and soil health management in addition to poultry and piggery. We intend to carry out more trainings on mushroom and vegetable growing as a way of improving nutrition and food security.
  3. Demonstration gardens have been set up to facilitate trainings.
  4. The farm also supports youth activities and school children by enhancing talents by providing footballs and scholastic materials.
  5. We have purchased over 450 tons of maize grain from the smallholder farmers. This means money has circulated in the hands of the farmers.

Common User Facility (CUF)

  1. We have installed a fully equipped post-harvest handling equipment consisting of a cleaner(50t/ph), dryer(10t/ph), feed mill (3t/ph), mobile sheller (2t/ph), (02) moisture meters and (01) aflatoxin testing machine. This will reduce post-harvest loses and thus increasing grain value
  2. We have built a warehouse. This has facilitated centralized storage, improved supply chain efficiency and enhanced security for grain.
  3. We have eased agro input last mile delivery by making available hybrid seeds, fertilizers, crop protection solutions. The smallholder farmers can now easily access the inputs with flexible payment options.
