About Us

Jogwaya Farm & Agro Tourism Co Limited was incorporated on the 1st Sep,2022. The Farm is a typical Ugandan owned and is located in the remote rural areas of Gwaya Village, Oriamo S/county, Kaberamaido district, Eastern Uganda.

This farm was set up to promote the creation of jobs, women and youth empowerment, economic development and poverty alleviation through maize production, warehousing and processing. It features key stakeholders such as the youth and women, members and workers of the project, customers, suppliers and the wider community. The founders of the farm realized that there was great demand for boosting development among rural maize farmers in the area and beyond because the grain market is poised for steady growth driven by factors such as population increase, urbanization, regional export opportunities and domestic consumption (evolving dietary habits).

Jogwaya Farm & Agro-Tourism Company Ltd has for these reasons made a passionate case for ecosystem wide alignment with the smallholder farmers so as to build a strong foundation for collaboration and sustainability in the agrifood system.
