The farm has constructed a warehouse which will facilitate grain handling, storage and trade in addition to other services. The farm has also acquired a 50t p/h grain cleaner, 10t p/h dryer, 3t p/h feed mill (poultry & animal feeds) & 2t p/h Sheller, two moisture meters and have one Aflatoxin analysis machine which are essential in grain operations. The complex will also feature a one-acre logistics zone.
We aim to add value to grain & supply the market with ready to use products. This investment comes as part of our broader objective where we seek to optimize grain storage and reduce post-harvest losses.
The grain storage complex is expected to source for up to 100% of its raw materials locally through our well designed all-inclusive contract farming model with over 800 youth and women smallholder farmers which will ensure greater self-sufficiency in grain storage production within three to five years.
